Speaking to the media, Hatton stated that the bout would be a rare fight in so far as the top fighters are rarely willing to fight against each other these days and as a result, this match could just be explosive.

He also stated that this match pits the number one in the country against the number two in the country and has all the makings to become a monumental match up. Ricky Hatton, who has been the champion in the Light Welterweight division as well as the Welterweight division, also added that he is extremely excited about this fight since he jumped into the realms of fight promotions almost three years back.

The 33 year old added that Munroe has his reasons to be extremely upset since the youngster Quigg has been getting all the good press ahead of the fight. He also went on to add that many people have already started believing that Scott is a future world champion and he must live up to his promise against Munroe but he also made it clear that since he is extremely young, he still has a lot of years to become experienced in his trades.

At 31 years of age, Munroe is almost eight years older to his opponent and has already faced off in a championship match but Ricky Hatton says that all that will count for nothing when the two face off.
